In Louisa County, Iowa, we manage both land and water trails! Below are three of the main trails. In addition to those listed below, the following Louisa County areas also hiking trails.
- Baird Timber - .25-mile timber trail
- Cairo Woods - 6-miles of mowed trail
- Chinkapin Bluffs - @ 5-miles of trail - includes the Hoover Nature Trail at Chinkapin
- Eden Park - @ 3-miles of mowed trail
- Hoover Nature Trail - 2 managed sections one at Chinkapin Bluffs, 4-miles out and back, and one near Morning Sun 3-miles.
- Indian Slough - 3-miles of mowed trail
- Iowa River Water Trail - 54-miles long from the Tri-County Bridge to the Mississippi River
- Langwood - Open by reservation ONLY
- Odessa Water Trail - about 24-miles of mapped trails in several segments all originating from Schaffer's Access.
- Wetland Interpretive Trail - .5-mile crushed lime trail, plus about a mile of mowed trail around the prairie.
- Toolesboro - .25-mile timber trail
- Virginia Grove - @ 3-miles of timber trails
- Wilson Prairie - 1-mile mowed path around the prairie
