Wildlife Areas

Louisa County Conservation's Wildlife & Natural Areas are just that - areas with few amenities constructed for people. At these areas you'll find parking lots, perhaps some trails and a lot of natural habitat. They are great places for nature study, bird watching, mushroom hunting, wildlife flower hikes and general exploration.

All of these areas allow hunting and often the funds used to purchase them came from money generated by hunting activities (habitat stamp fees and sales of arms/ammunition). Find out which areas allow hunting, when hunting seasons are open, and be prepared (whether you are hunting or not).
