Migration Madness

Enjoy a morning outdoors exploring the spring bird migration along the Mississippi River Flyway with staff from both Louisa County Conservation and the Port Louisa National Wildlife Refuge. Meet at the Inlet Tubes at the Port Louisa National Wildlife Refuge. The auto tour route through the refuge will be open with scopes set up at both the Fox Pond overlook and the Muscatine Slough platform. Come and go as you please. Binoculars will be available to borrow. This program is sponsored by Louisa County Conservation and the Friends of Port Louisa Refuge.

Ages: There is no age restriction but children 16 and under must be accompanied by an adult.

Please note:
The Inlet Tubes at Port Louisa National Wildlife Refuge are located on 120th Street, Wapello, IA. From the intersection of G56 and X61 head North on X61. Turn East on 120th Street and continue until you have reached the Inlet Tubes (just before heading over the dike to the Mississippi).
