Hike with professional foresters to learn about timber management strategies, Tuesday, April 5th at Virginia Grove Recreation Area. Rain date will be Wednesday, April 6th, same time and place. During the program participants will get to see timber management strategies currently being applied to Virginia Grove during a short hike of less than 1 mile. Be prepared to sharpen your identification skills of both trees and invasive species. Timber management programs and assistance that is available to landowners will also be covered. Families are welcome to attend. Louisa County naturalists will be guiding children’s activities during the hike. Bring your own picnic dinner before the program if you like. Refreshments will be served.
