Lives Written on the Land

Saturday, February 23; 10:00 am - 11:00 am

Help us welcome Connie Mutel to Louisa County! She will tell the ongoing ecological story of Iowa's agricultural land transformation and what it has meant for Iowas and for the state's native plants and animals. By understanding our past, we can better attend to the loss of biodiversity, climate change, and other modern environmental challenges and costs.

Connie is a local author from Iowa City and a plant ecologist. Until recently she was a Senior Science Writer at the University of Iowa's IIHR-Hyrdoscience & Engineering, She has written or edited over a dozen books on environmental subjects. It's sure to be a presentation you don't want to miss!
