Conservation Crew: Garlic Mustard Pull

Thursday, May 2, 2019; 6:00 pm -7:30 pm

Enjoy exploring your county parks? Come help us give back to one of our parks, Langwood Education Center, by volunteering to clean-up the woods at our Conservation Crew work day.

We will spend the evening pulling garlic mustard, an invasive species. Invasive species cause problems for native plants and animals because they can outcompete these species and take over. Removing this species will help make our woods healthier and happier! Come find out more at this exciting program!

We will have to hike back to where the field of garlic mustard is, so make sure to wear good walking shoes. If you would like to go off-trail to pull garlic mustard (encouraged!) please wear long pants and any other gear that will make you comfortable.

Our parks provide people with the opportunity to explore wildlife, hike, paddle, fish, etc. It's time to let the county parks know how much you care and appreciate all that they provide!

Bring the whole family and enjoy some time outside with us while we learn about our incredible planet and how to protect it! This event is free and all ages are welcome (any one can pull garlic mustard!). No pre-registration required.
