Women's Outdoor Workshop

Saturday, October 5, 8:30 am - Sunday, October 6, 1:30 pm

Enjoy a weekend, full of adventure, with Louisa County Conservation! Learn from professionals about exciting natural resource and outdoor recreation topics. Practice your aim with atlatl spear throwing, cook delicious food by a campfire, make a composting worm bin, build friction fires, and so much more! 

Plus, participants are encouraged to try out our Challenge Course during the optional pre-session starting at 8:30 am on Saturday, October 5. For $10 participants will get the chance to climb to new heights. It is the perfect way to kick off a great weekend and meet the other WOW women! Participants are invited and encourage to camp at Langwood in a tent or the A-frame. Bring on a weekend of adventure! 

 

Guest Speakers: Muscatine County Conservation, Cedar County Conservation, Port Louisa National Wildlife Refuge, Red Fern Farm, The Nature Conservancy, Office of the State Archaeologist, and Iowa Department of Natural Resources.
