eXtreme Kids 2017-2018

Adventure through Louisa County and beyond in the 2017-2018 eXtreme Kids series of programs! These programs are open to kids in 4th-6th grade for the 2017-2018 school year. Kids may register for one program, all four, or any combination in between! Registration forms can be downloaded below and returned, with payment, to the Louisa County Conservation office. Payment must be received to reserve a spot in a program. Traveling programs have a limit of 10 students so don't delay!

Feb. 3-4. 

3:00 pm - 9:00 am

Langwood Winter Overnight

Join us for a winter camping adventure! Activities will be weather dependent but they are sure to be fun. Enjoy cooking over a campfire, nocturnal activities, and an overnight with your friends. 


March 3. 

9:00 am - 12:00 pm

Maple Syruping

Explore the time honored tradition of making maple syrup. Learn about maple trees and get the chance to extract sap and make maple syrup. 


March 30.

9:00 am - 4:00 pm

Fossil Gorge & Musuem

Journey to Iowa City for a geology filled adventure at the Devonian Fossil Gorge and U of I Natural History Museum. 


July 6.

9:00 am - 3:00 pm

Paddling at Deep Lakes Park

Paddle the unique ex-quarry that is now Deep Lakes Park located south of Muscatine. This unique area is sure to provide a beautiful location for a summer adventure.
