Nature Detectives (Entering 2nd-3rd Grade)

June 25-29; 8:30 am - 12:00 pm

Nature Detectives will be exploring the answer to a very important question:

What's your Ology?

  • Zoology is the study of animals. We'll meet live animals, observe animals in the wild, and see how we measure up to the fastest and strongest animals.
  • Calling all rock lovers. Our next Ology is Geology. Go on a rock hunt, make a rock collection, learn about fossils, and try some rock experiments!
  • What's above our heads? Meteorology is the study of all things weather-related. Learn about the sun, wind, and severe weather through exciting hands-on experiments.
  • Insects are the most common critter on the planet. Explore the world of entomology by making an insect museum and finding insects all around.
  • Our week concludes with the all important study of bubble-ology! Can you fit inside a bubble? Can you hold a bubble? What's the biggest bubble you can make? Find out these answers and many more on bubble-ology day.

Your child will experience nature hikes, games, activities, crafts, and lots of

outdoor adventures at Langwood Education Center. A t-shirt is included in the camp fee and enrollment is limited to 12 participants.
