Langwood Challenge Course

Adventure awaits you at the Langwood Education Center Challenge Course!  Can you imagine yourself walking across a log suspended 30 feet off the ground? How about leaping from a 20 foot pole to catch a trapeze bar?  If you would like to give it a try, you can!  School groups, businesses, scouts, athletic teams, and many other groups will want to take advantage of this opportunity.

Volunteer to become an Assistant Belayer by attending a one day training course. 

Everyone who participates in the Challenge Course must have a permission form filled out completely.

Langwood Ropes Challenge Course for Corporate Groups and Athletic Teams.  Langwood has what you need for your teambuilding advenutres.

Programs can focus on:

High Ropes

High rope elements take participants 30 feet off the ground, through a series of utility poles, ropes, and cables.  

Participants are kept safe by wearing a helmet and a harness attached to a dynamic belay rope which is also attached to a trained belayer on the ground. 

The course at Langwood consists of 5 traversing elements, a zip line and a "Leap of Faith" pole.  High rope elements include:

  • Burma Bridge
  • Multi-vine
  • Log
  • Two-line Bridge
  • Sky Chair
  • Leap of Faith
  • Zip Line

Low Elements

The Low Ropes Course includes elements that are close to the ground as well as initiative activities led by trained facilitators.  Participants are challenged to negotiate solutions to a variety of problems as presented by the facilitator.  Communication, leadership skills and teamwork are a necessity for achieving success.  

Initiative activities are an important step in team building.  Processing takes place after each activity for the group to reflect on how well they communicated, worked together and got the problem solved.

  • Stretch
  • Langwood Baseball

Schedule Your Group

We can tailor a program to fit your needs.  You can schedule your group for a whole day with both high ropes and low ropes or for a half day with just one of the components. Individuals must be at least 8 years old. 

Cost depends on the programming we provide, the size of your group and the length of the program. Call or email LCC for an estimate.
