Iowa River Water Trail Master Plan

The Master Plan for the Iowa River Water Trail is finished and available for reading at your leisure!  This plan covers topics ranging from current conditions to goals and objectives.  It covers the geology, hydrology, archaeology and so much more!  The Iowa River Water Trail is shared between Johnson and Louisa Counties and runs 72 miles, dam free from Sturgis Ferry in Iowa City to the confluence with the Mississippi River near Oakville.  Keep an eye out for naturalist led paddles later in the summer and get out there and explore!
